PSM to Host Debate for Male’ Mayoral Candidates

Public Service Media (PSM) is set to air a dedicated debate programme featuring the candidates contesting for the Male’ City mayoral position in the upcoming by-election.

The mayoral seat for Male’ City became vacant following the resignation of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu in November, leading to the scheduling of a by-election on January 13.

In the PSM debate programme, candidates will have the opportunity to articulate their visions for the development of Male’ City and outline their proposed initiatives. This platform will also serve as a crucial moment for Male’ City residents to assess and decide upon the most suitable candidate for the mayoral role. 

PSM is expected to announce the specific date for the debate programme soon, extending invitations to all participating candidates. Additionally, on-air time will be allocated to present the policies of each candidate in conjunction with the mayoral debate.
