In response to the ongoing Ameenee Magu tarring project, the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced changes to several bus routes within the city.

Scheduled to begin today the tarring of Ameenee Magu has prompted adjustments to the existing bus routes. The last phase of the Ameenee Magu construction has necessitated the closure of certain roads, affecting transportation in specific areas.

Attributed to the closure of the Food Court area for the Ameenee Magu tarring project, MTCC has redirected the Ameenee route services. Commencing from Ameenee Magu, these services will now follow a rerouted path via Handhuvaree Magu and subsequently connect to Majeedhee Magu.

Similarly, the Orchid Magu route is set to deviate from its regular path, redirecting from Majeedhee Magu to the Westpark stop.

Additionally, as part of the adjustments, the Maafannu bus terminal will serve as both the starting point for the R1 and R3 services and the concluding stop for the R7 services.
