Allocated Hulhumale’ Phase 3 Land Will Not be Shifted to Fushi Dhiggarufalhu, Says HDC
In a statement made last night, Urbanco’s Managing Director Ibrahim Fazul stated that the allocated land plots from Hulhumale’ Phase III, awarded to recipients by the previous government, will not be shifted to Fushi Dhiggarufalhu.
The clarification came in response to claims made by a local online news outlet, which purported that the government was considering changes to the designated land plots. Fazul firmly refuted the allegations during his statement.
Dr. Ali Haidar, the Housing Minister, has recognised the potential for modifications in the plot locations assigned under the ‘Binveriya’ scheme. Haidar clarified that any changes would not impact the size of the plots or the islands from which the land is issued.
“We will allocate a different location from the same place. From [Hulhumale’] Phase III if it’s Phase III, and from Gulhifalhu if it’s Gulhifalhu,” stated Haidar. He further explained that alterations would only occur if the current administration has different development plans for the specific areas in question.
