Dhiraagu Launches EAFC Mini Series 1 Esports Event

Dhiraagu has launched their EAFC Mini Series I tournament, last Thursday.

The exciting 3-day event  was launched at Dhiraagu Head Office by the Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation,  Abdulla Rafiu and Dhiraagu CEO & Managing Director, Ismail Rasheed.

During the event, two main tournaments – EAFC 24 Mini Series 1 and Tekken Open – will take place where pre-registrations were opened earlier for interested participants. 

In addition  to the two main tournaments, EAFC Duos and Mortal Kombat challenges will also take place during the event where interested players can walk-in, play and win exciting prizes. With over 500 players, this event will have a total prize pool of MVR 40,000.  

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chief Guest, Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation,  Abdulla Rafiu highlighted Dhiraagu’s role in supporting the development of sports in the  Maldives, stating that esports in the Maldives will surely advance under the company’s  leadership. 

Furthermore, the Minister also stated that tournaments such as this will help  develop talented local gamers and elevate esports as a professional sport in the country.  

Dhiraagu CEO & MD, Ismail Rasheed thanked the players for being on Dhiraagu, the no.1  network for gamers, stating the company’s commitment to leading esports in the country. He  further highlighted Dhiraagu’s efforts to enhance their services in order to provide the best  experience for the Maldivian gaming community.
