Masjid Hassan Adam, a new mosque constructed in Hulhumale Phase 2, was inaugurated yesterday. The mosque located in Nirolhu Magu officially opened for Friday prayers, with the Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed presiding over the inauguration ceremony.
The two-storey mosque has a capacity to accommodate 1500 worshippers for congregation prayers. During the inauguration, Minister Shaheem praised the mosque as the largest and most aesthetically pleasing in Hulhumale Phase 2.
Masjid Hassan Adam adds to the religious infrastructure of the area, particularly to those in the Hiyaa Flat area of Hulhumale’ City.
The mosque’s construction was funded by Muni Homecare, for which the Minister expressed gratitude during the inauguration.
Efforts are underway to develop additional mosques in Hulhumale Phase 2, with plans for five more in progress.
Masjid Hassan Adam joins Masjid Ameel Jaleel as another permanent mosque in Hulhumale Phase 2; Masjid Ameel Jaleel was inaugurated two years ago in honor of Marhoom Ahmed Ameel Jaleel.
