MPL Launches Sea-to-Air Cargo Transshipment Service

Maldives Port Limited (MPL) introduces new sea-to-air cargo transshipment service, enhancing regional freight logistics with streamlined and sustainable processes.

MPL has announced accompanying tariffs, with 20ft containers priced at USD 654.13 and 40ft containers at USD 812.71.

“We’ve identified high demand for expedited export of seaborne goods via airlift,” remarked CEO Mohamed Wajeeh Ibrahim at a press conference. “MPL is aggressively pursuing this project for additional revenue generation.” He further noted ongoing discussions with Turkish Airlines regarding the initiative.
