Dr. Rameela outlined the agreement’s core objectives, including enhancing research capabilities and expanding training opportunities for interested individuals. She pointed out the lack of regularly updated statistics within the ministry, which has impeded its operational efforts, especially as it undertakes several significant tasks.
The minister highlighted the insufficient research in areas related to the ministry’s work, which has also hampered the ability to secure funding for various initiatives and training programmes.
She stressed the necessity of analysing soil damage from pesticide use and land conditions in agricultural practices. Additionally, she emphasised the importance of boosting confidence among the next generation in integrating technology into farming.
