MNDF Reports Multiple Sea Incidents Amidst Bad Weather
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has reported bad weather conditions across the Maldives, leading to multiple maritime incidents over the past two days.

According to the MNDF, the Coast Guard is currently responding to three separate incidents at sea. Additionally, six other incidents were reported to the Coast Guard on Sunday evening, though no further details have been provided.
The Maldives has been experiencing heavy rainfall and stormy weather. The Maldives Meteorological Centre (MET Office) forecasts that these conditions are expected to continue for another 24 hours, with possible thunderstorms.
The MET Office also predicts wind speeds of up to 18 miles per hour from the south-southwest in southern regions and from the west-northwest in other areas. Gusts could reach 40 miles per hour. Sea conditions are expected to be moderately rough, with swells ranging from four to seven feet.
The severe weather has led to several dangerous incidents at sea, resulting in loss of life. Authorities are urging the public to exercise extreme caution and take safety precautions while travelling.
