116 Recruits Graduate from MNDF’s 73rd Basic Training Course

A total of 116 recruits have graduated from the Maldives National Defence Force’s (MNDF) 73rd Basic Training Course, including 94 men and 22 women.

The graduation ceremony was held on Saturday evening at the MNDF Girifushi Training Centre and was attended by Defence and National Service Minister Hassan Rasheed.

During the ceremony, Minister Hassan inspected the graduation parade, presented awards to top-performing recruits and addressed the graduates. The military pledge was administered by Brigadier General Dr Hussain Ibrahim, Commander of the MNDF College of Defence and Security Studies.

The course began on March 7, and was conducted by the MNDF College of Defence and Security Studies at the Girifushi Training Centre.

The Basic Training Course prepares new recruits for service across various military sectors, with training focused on military discipline, physical fitness, character, obedience and fundamental military knowledge and skills.
