26-Year-Old Woman Dies Following Sosun Magu Motorcycle Collision

A 26-year-old woman injured in a high-speed motorcycle collision on Sosun Magu has passed away while receiving treatment at ADK Hospital.

Police informed the media that the victim’s family reported her passing to authorities this evening.

The woman was one of three individuals injured in the two-motorcycle crash, which was reported to authorities at approximately 1:12 a.m. on Monday. 

The other two victims, two Maldivian men aged 21 and 22, sustained various injuries. 

Police confirmed that the 21-year-old operator of one of the motorcycles did not hold a valid driving license. He was arrested on Tuesday under a court warrant and subsequently presented before a judge, who ordered him remanded in custody for 15 days.
