A 28-year-old Maldivian man has been remanded in custody for 30 days in connection with an alleged sexual abuse case involving a three-year-old child.
Police said the man was arrested under a court order on August 28 in connection with allegations that the child was sexually abused and that the act was recorded on an island under the South Central Police Division.

He was presented before court on the same day, where the court ordered him to remain in custody for 30 days.
Police are continuing to investigate the case.
