Aasandha, the national health insurance scheme, has unveiled a user-friendly web portal named ‘My Aasandha’, aimed at simplifying access to their array of services. The introduction of this portal seeks to streamline the process of applying for government aid in medical treatment.

While Aasandha had already been offering select services online, the recent launch of the ‘My Aasandha’ portal marks a step forward.

Notably, the portal now serves as the exclusive medium for submitting the doctor’s recommendation form for seeking treatment abroad. This shift in protocol will take effect from the 15th of this month.

The portal serves as a comprehensive gateway for a spectrum of services provided by Aasandha. This includes the submission of documents for both Aasandha benefits and welfare assistance, alongside the option to furnish supplementary documents via the portal and to complete recommendation forms online.

Moreover, applicants can conveniently monitor the progress of their submissions through this web-based interface. Access to the portal is facilitated through the use of electronic forms of authentication.

This initiative reflects Aasandha’s commitment to enhancing user convenience by circumventing the need for in-person visits and reducing the need to wait in queues for availing services. While the company asserts that the counter service will still be available for those preferring face-to-face interactions, the portal eliminates the necessity of such visits.
