Addu City Council Seeks Bidders for Meedhoo Children’s Park Project

The Addu City Council has opened for bidder registration to develop a children’s park on Meedhoo Island. To be managed on a contractor finance basis, this project exclusively invites registered businesses in the Maldives.

According to a notice published in the gazette today, interested and eligible bidders must register with the Procurement Unit by emailing their bid documents, including their company or business name and telephone number, to tender@adducity.gov.mv

The registration window opens at 10:00 a.m. on June 9th and closes at 2:00 p.m. on June 13th. The announcement states that bidders will receive an information sheet and bid form in softcopy format during this time.

For additional details or queries, the council advises bidders to contact the Procurement Unit between 10:00 a.m. on June 9th and 2:00 p.m. on June 24th. According to the announcement, responses to inquiries will be shared with all registered bidders by June 27th.

An information session about the project is scheduled for June 24th at 10:00 a.m. at the Addu City Council Secretariat. 

The council instructs bidders to submit a bid security of MVR 9,500 or an equivalent amount in US Dollars. The bid security must be valid 120 days from the bid opening date.

The deadline for bid submissions is 10:00 a.m. on July 08th. Submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Bids must be sealed in an envelope clearly marked with the tender’s name, date, time, and the tenderer’s name.

The bidding documents will detail the contract award procedure and the criteria for evaluating and marking the bids.
