AGM of Fertility Support Community to Convene Tomorrow

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Fertility Support Community (FSC) is scheduled for tomorrow.

According to a post on X, the AGM will take place virtually on Zoom from 9pm to 11pm tomorrow.

Only members of the group will be able to attend the meeting, but the NGO is currently accepting registrations for new members.

“As our main objective has been to advocate for fertility rights in the Maldives, the main purpose of this meeting is to hear the thoughts and concerns of our members regarding the recently announced NSPA IVF scheme and working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure such programmes are at best interest to those struggling with infertility in the Maldives,” Aishath Mihna Nasih, the Executive Director of the NGO said.

Tomorrow’s meeting will also include discussions of the NGOs other programmes and announcements.

FSC is a peer-to-peer support group working to provide accurate health information to the public and raising awareness about reproductive health and infertility.

Last year, the NGO raised funds to support five couples to receive fertility treatments. The NGO has over 400 members.
