The society expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation towards the donor organisations and individual donors whose contributions made their participation in the conference possible.

During the event, representatives from the Alzheimer’s Society of Maldives engaged in a follow-up in-person meeting with notable figures such as Prof. Miia Kivipelto, Assistant Prof. Francesca Mangialasche, and Project and Operations Manager Dinithi Perera.

The discussion centred around WW Fingers, a programme aimed at promoting healthy brain ageing, preventing cognitive impairment, and addressing dementia through multidomain clinical research. It also focuses on translating research findings into personalised interventions and clinical practices.

Of significance is the recent inclusion of the Alzheimer’s Society of Maldives into the WW Fingers Network, effective from the 22nd of March 2024. This collaboration underscores the society’s commitment to advancing research and interventions in the field of dementia and cognitive health
