Annual Religious Scholars’ Meeting Set for August 14–15

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Waqf will hold its annual meeting of religious scholars on August 14 and 15 at the Islamic Centre Conference Hall.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 8:30pm on Friday, August 14, and will be attended by Professor Dr Musfir bin Ali Al-Qahtani of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Saudi Arabia.

The two-day meeting will focus on the theme ‘Islamic Dawah in the 21st Century’, with scholars expected to discuss various religious matters and participate in information sessions on a range of issues.
The annual gathering, which brings together religious scholars from across the Maldives to discuss matters of national and religious importance, resumed in 2024 following a five-year hiatus.
