Applications Open for Japan MEXT Scholarship 2027 for Maldivian Students

The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Skills Development has announced today that applications are now open for the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship 2027 programme. The opportunity is available for College of Technology (KOSEN) students and Specialised Training College students.

According to the Ministry of Education, the scholarship also covers master’s degree and doctoral degree level studies in Japan.

The Ministry of Education stated that all applications must be submitted by Thursday, 14 May 2026.

As stated by the ministry, applicants can access further details, including eligibility requirements and application procedures, via the Kuri Portal and the Study in Japan (MEXT) website.
