Applications are open for the Practice Parliament for Women 2025, which will be held in Malé City from 5th July (Saturday) to 12th July (Saturday) 2025.
The Practice Parliament for Women series is an initiative that aims to provide the opportunity for women to build their capacity and confidence to participate in democratic processes, become change makers in their communities and eventually contest for elected positions.

Interested Maldivian women over the age of 25 can apply for the programme. Participants will be selected based on their enthusiasm and commitment to participate in the programme. A total of 40 participants will be selected, with due consideration to facilitate equitable participation of persons with disabilities and applicants from diverse backgrounds.
This programme is conducted in partnership with the People’s Majlis and UNDP Maldives, and is supported by the Government of Australia – Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
