Arts Ministry Opens Recruitment for New Posts and Service Contracts

The Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage has announced the recruitment of additional staff and service providers as part of efforts to expand its operations and strengthen institutional capacity.
The ministry has issued eight announcements, with application and submission deadlines set for 14 July.
Five permanent civil service positions have been advertised. The vacancies are for Principal Public Relations Officer, Senior Public Relations Officer, Senior Human Resource Officer, Principal Human Resources Officer and Senior Administrative Officer.
The ministry has also announced the recruitment of a Principal Bureau Officer.
In addition to staff recruitment, the ministry has invited public relations firms to submit bids to provide media services for the ministry and its affiliated agencies under a two-year contract.
A separate tender has been issued seeking a contractor to prepare the venue for entertainment and sports activities planned for the Independence Day celebrations on 26 July.
The recruitment drive comes as the ministry continues to expand its operations. According to government records, the ministry had 50 political appointees last year.
Established after President Dr Mohamed Muizzu took office, the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage oversees four institutions: the National Centre for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, the Academy of the Maldivian Language, the National Museum and the National Centre for Maldivian Heritage Studies.
The ministry, headed by Minister Heena Waleed, is responsible for preserving and promoting the Maldives’ heritage, language and culture.
