BCC Opens Kiosks for Rent in Thoddoo Farmers’ Market

The Business Centre Corporation (BCC) has announced the opening of kiosks for rent in the Thoddoo Farmers’ Market, with applications accepted until 16:00 on 18 August.
This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, involves the rental of 10 kiosks for a period of two years. The opportunity is exclusively available to citizens of Thoddoo aged 18 and above, with a monthly rental price set at USD 228.
The establishment of the farmers’ market in Thoddoo aims to provide local farmers with a platform to expand their businesses. Thoddoo is renowned for its agricultural produce, particularly watermelon and chili, with a significant portion of the island’s land dedicated to farming.
BCC’s initiative is expected to bolster the local economy by supporting the agricultural sector and offering farmers enhanced opportunities for growth.
