Broadcom Urges Respect for Journalists Amid Rising Harassment Concerns

The Maldives Broadcasting Commission (Broadcom) has called for respect towards journalists and urged broadcasters to exercise caution when airing statements that may incite harassment.
In a statement issued today, the Commission noted an increasing concern over incidents where individuals have harassed and singled out certain journalists at various forums and political rallies.

The Commission advised broadcasters to be mindful when airing such content, warning against airing remarks that could contribute to further harassment or intimidation.
