CA Maldives to Hold First Council Elections in July

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives) has announced its first-ever council elections, set for July 10th.
Applications are now open for key positions within the CA Maldives Council, including President, Vice-President, and four general members.
Candidates must be members of the Institute and Maldivian citizens, as required by the Chartered Accountants Act. The deadline for application submissions is June 8th, 2024, at 15:00.
CA Maldives anticipates that the upcoming council elections will further solidify its mission to foster the development of the accountancy profession in the Maldives, elevating it as a transparent and accountable industry.
In parallel with its preparations for the council elections, CA Maldives also invites all members to register for the 4th Annual General Meeting (AGM 2023). Members are encouraged to register via the CA Maldives portal by June 6th, 2024, at 15:00 hrs.
The AGM will be conducted digitally via Zoom on June 11th, 2024, from 15:00 to 16:00 hrs.
Founded under the Chartered Accountants Act of the Republic of Maldives on September 8th 2020, CA Maldives operates with a nine-member council. The council includes ex-officio members such as the Auditor General, the Commissioner General of Taxation, and the Accountant General.
