According to the report, a total of 159,141 tourists visited the Maldives in October 2023, indicating a 3.52% increase in comparison to the figures from October 2022.
The average daily arrivals stood at 5,134, with a peak of 7,112 tourists recorded on the busiest day, while the lowest daily arrival was 3,869 individuals.
From January to October 2023, the cumulative number of arrivals reached 1,520,189.
The breakdown of tourists for October 2023 reveals the following top nationalities:
- China: 17,406 tourists
- Russia: 17,032 tourists
- Germany: 15,973 tourists
- India: 14,664 tourists
- United Kingdom: 13,615 tourists
- Italy: 6,229 tourists
- United States of America: 5,518 tourists
- Switzerland: 4,244 tourists
- Spain: 3,925 tourists
- South Korea: 3,692 tourists
