Civil Court Schedules First Hearing for Sadha’s Death Case Tomorrow
The Civil Court has announced the forthcoming commencement of legal proceedings in the case concerning the demise of five-year-old Sadha Saudullah, with the first hearing set to take place tomorrow.
Saudullah Ahmed shared on social media that the initial hearing of the lawsuit against Fuvahmulah Hospital is slated for 11:00 am tomorrow.
Expressing his aspirations for justice, Saudullah conveyed his motivation behind pursuing legal action, citing the need to address the injuries resulting from alleged negligence within state healthcare facilities.
Sadha initially sought medical attention at the flu clinic in early October, presenting symptoms of abdominal discomfort and severe vomiting. Subsequently, due to the severity of her condition, she was referred to Fuvahmulah Hospital, initially suspected of COVID-19.
Sadha passed away on October 3, 2021. The family contends that she received an injection during a medical consultation, alleging her demise occurred within five minutes of the administration. Ministry report corroborated the family’s claims, highlighting instances of medical staff negligence in Sadha’s treatment.
