The application deadline for the World No Tobacco Day Awards 2026 has been extended to 13 February 2026, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) announced last night.
In a statement shared on social media, the HPA said interested and eligible individuals and organisations are invited to complete the application form available through the World Health Organization (WHO).
The World No Tobacco Day Awards are presented annually to recognise individuals and institutions that have made significant contributions to tobacco control, including efforts to reduce tobacco use, protect public health, and strengthen the implementation of tobacco control policies.
The awards are part of the global World No Tobacco Day campaign, marked each year on 31 May, which aims to raise awareness of the health risks associated with tobacco use and to promote effective measures to curb tobacco consumption worldwide.
