Minister of Defence and National Service Hassan Rasheed has held talks on strengthening bilateral relations and defence cooperation during his official visit to Saudi Arabia.
During a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the two sides reviewed bilateral ties and discussed opportunities to enhance defence cooperation between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia.
The discussions also covered regional and international developments, as well as ongoing efforts to promote security and stability across the region.
As part of the visit, Hassan also met Abdullah bin Hamid Al-Quraishi, Deputy Military Commander of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC).
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in counter-terrorism, expanding joint military exercises and enhancing technical capabilities between the two sides as part of broader efforts to improve defence collaboration.
