Defence Minister Holds Talks on Counter-Terrorism Cooperation During Saudi Arabia Visit

Minister of Defence and National Service Hassan Rasheed has held talks on strengthening counter-terrorism cooperation during his official visit to Saudi Arabia.

The visit is being undertaken at the invitation of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defence, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

During the visit, Hassan met Major General Abdullah bin Hamed Al-Qurashi, Deputy Military Commander of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), to discuss expanding cooperation between the two sides.

The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral collaboration in counter-terrorism and strengthening capacity-building through joint training initiatives.

Both sides also explored ways to deepen strategic cooperation in response to emerging regional and global security threats. The meeting reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting peace, stability and security through closer collaboration.
