Dhiraagu has introduced a new category for this year’s Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race – the Office & Resort 5K Team Event.

With the newly introduced Office & Resort category, employees of these organisations can sign up in  teams of 4 in the 5K Team Event. Registration fee for each member is MVR 250. Interested  participants can register and get more information about DMRR 2024 via www.dmrr.mv

An employee of any organisation can participate in this category, including resorts, governments  entities, SOEs and the private sector. Each organisation can register multiple teams to represent them  in DMRR 2024 and stand the chance to be the winning team.

Winners for the Office/Resort category will be chosen based on the sum of the finish time of all  members of the team who complete the race within the cut-off time of 45 minutes.

Prizes for the Office & Resort – 5K Team Event are:

  • Winning Team: MVR 10,000
  • Runner-up Team: MVR 8,000
  • Second Runner-up Team: MVR 6,000

Teams can consist of all-male, all-female or a mix of both. Participants who register for the Office &  Resort category – 5K team event can only participate in this category.

DMRR is the first and only international run held in the Maldives, listed in the Association of  International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) World Running calendar with a World Athletics certified race route. This year’s DMRR marks the 15th edition of this largest and most anticipated run  in the Maldives and is scheduled to be held on 25 October 2024 (Friday) at Central Park, Hulhumale’.

Similar to previous years, DMRR 2024 is dedicated towards the social cause of child protection, one  of the key focus areas of Dhiraagu’s corporate social responsibility programme. The run will provide  a platform for NGOs working in the area of child protection to raise awareness and funds for their  cause.

Registrations for DMRR 2024 are now open and will be closed once the limit of 4,000 participants is  reached.
