State Trading Organisation (STO) pharmacies have also noted a significant surge in the demand for medicines amidst the disease outbreak in the city. As a proactive step, STO is working in conjunction with health service providers and pertinent government institutions to determine the required quantity of medicines.
This collaborative effort ensures that Maldives receives sufficient supplies while minimizing any potential wastage. Moreover, stringent quality control measures are being employed to ensure the efficacy and safety of the medications.
Given the current situation with the increased incidence of vomiting and diarrhoea cases, there has been a notable upswing in the demand for commonly prescribed medications for these ailments.
