While the eligible voter’s list has been published in the gazette and on the commission’s website, ECM said that an individual’s voter eligibility can be found out by sending an SMS with VR space IDNO, sent to 1414.
ECM said that people can submit complaints to request to add or omit people from the eligible voter’s list or to request to amend information regarding voters. A valid document must be submitted along with the complaint, said ECM. For political parties, complaints must be submitted through the Simedha portal.
A total of 294,937 people are eligible to vote in the 2026 Local Council and WDC elections, scheduled to be held on 4 April.
