ECM President Mohamed Zahid Resigns

The President of the Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM), Mohamed Zahid, has resigned from his position.
The ECM confirmed Zahid’s resignation in a message shared to the media. However, no further details regarding the resignation have been disclosed.
Zahid was appointed as President of the ECM on February 18, last year.
At the time of his resignation, the commission consisted of five members, including the president.
