Education Ministry Awards Contracts for School Expansion Projects

Ministry of Education has contracted three companies for the expansion of schools in Feydhoo in Shaviyani Atoll, Kudarilkilu in Baa Atoll, and Vilufushi in Thaa Atoll.

Eco Investment Maldives Private Limited has been awarded the contract to construct eight classrooms and a multipurpose hall in Feydhoo School. The agreement, signed by Eco Investment Maldives General Manager Hassan Rifan, stipulates that the project should be completed within 400 days.

In Kudarilkilu School, the construction of four classrooms has been entrusted to Walsey Private Limited. The agreement, signed by Managing Director Afaf Saeed, mandates completion within 175 days at a cost of USD 314,500.

Tic Tac Investment Private Limited has been contracted to construct four classrooms in Vilufushi School. The agreement was signed by Tic Tac Investment’s Chief Finance Officer, Ismail Zahran Zubair. The company has been given 120 days to complete the project, with a budget of USD 280,500.

All three agreements were signed by Naushad Ibrahim, the Policy Director of the Ministry of Education. The funding for these projects is being provided through the 2021-2022 Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP).
