Expat Injured in Hulhumalé Park Attack

A foreign national sustained injuries in an attack last evening near a park in Hulhumalé Phase II, according to reports confirmed by the Maldives Police Service.

Authorities stated that officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of an assault involving a sharp object. The injured individual was subsequently taken to Hulhumalé Hospital for treatment.

This marks the second such incident reported in Hulhumalé within the same week. A previous attack also involving a sharp weapon occurred on Saturday.

Assaults involving deadly weapons remain a serious concern in the Maldives, with some past incidents having resulted in fatalities.
