Fisheries Ministry Calls for Expressions of Interest for Lab Technician Post in Fuvahmulah
The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources has invited expressions of interest for the post of Technician at the Agri Biotech and Soil Health Laboratory in Fuvahmulah, under a World Bank–financed regional fisheries management project.
The vacancy was announced in a gazette published yesterday as part of the Maldives – Transforming Fisheries Sector Management in the South-West Indian Ocean Region and Maldives Project, which aims to strengthen evidence-based fisheries management across the region and improve the competitiveness of the fisheries sector in the Maldives. The selected candidate will serve under the project and will be transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare after completing one year of service.

According to the announcement, details on the scope of work, required qualifications, expertise, remuneration and duration of the assignment are outlined in the Terms of Reference attached to the advertisement. Interested candidates must submit an expression of interest, curriculum vitae, copies of their national identity card or passport, accredited academic certificates, and employment or job reference letters.
Applications must be submitted to the Project Management Unit of the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources by 2:00pm on Monday, 12 January 2026, either in person or via email.
