Foreign Minister Embarks on Official Visit to UAE

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Moosa Zameer, departed for an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), yesterday. 

His visit comes at the invitation of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE.

During his stay, Minister Zameer is scheduled to hold high-level discussions with Sheikh Al Nahyan and other senior officials of the UAE government. These talks are expected to focus on enhancing diplomatic and economic cooperation between the two nations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement announcing the trip, described it as a significant step towards further strengthening bilateral ties between the Maldives and the UAE.

Accompanying Minister Zameer are Ambassador-at-Large Ahmed Naseer, Secretary for Bilateral Affairs Dr. Hala Hameed, and Joint Secretary Mariyam Reesha.

This visit follows Minister Zameer’s official trip to Saudi Arabia in August, as part of ongoing efforts to bolster regional partnerships.
