Four Appointed to Visit Maldives Board

Visit Maldives board gets four new members

Four members have been appointed to the Board of Directors of Visit Maldives Corporation Limited, following an announcement by the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board yesterday.

The newly appointed directors are Hudha Faheem of K. Thulusdhoo, Aishath Malha of R. Rasgetheemu, Ali Shinan of Malé City, and Aishath Ali of Malé City.

Hudha Faheem most recently served as a communication specialist in the Project Management Unit of the Ministry of Finance. Aishath Malha, appointed in the field of accounting and finance, works as an analyst in the Treasury Management section of the same ministry.

Aishath Ali serves as Director General at the Ministry of Tourism, while Ali Shinan holds the position of Deputy Director General at the ministry.

The board also includes Chairman Abdulla Ghiyas Riyaz and Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree, along with four non-executive directors and one executive director.

Visit Maldives Corporation Limited was established on 4 March 2010 as the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation and was registered with the Ministry of Economic Development on 14 August 2011. The corporation was renamed Visit Maldives Corporation Limited on 13 July last year.
