A total of 57 cage sets are available for purchase at MVR 100,000 each. The cages, measuring 72 square metres, consist of eight three-metre by three-metre grids. Each set includes a frame, grids, ropes, and an anchor.

The ministry has indicated that the cages will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to individuals who complete their payments. Buyers will be responsible for arranging transportation of the cages to Maniyafushi.

Additionally, juvenile groupers measuring six to 10 centimetres in length will be sold for MVR 15 each, subject to availability from the research hatchery on the island. Similar to the cage sets, the groupers will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Interested parties are encouraged to contact the ministry via email at admin@fishagri.gov.mv for further details. Those wishing to tour the facilities in Maniyafushi can arrange site visits by calling the ministry on 332 2242 or 333 9251.
