Health Ministry Signs Agreements for Health Centre Expansion Projects

The Ministry of Health has successfully signed agreements with contractors to initiate an expansion project for the health centers in Noonu Atoll Lhohi and Thaa Atoll Guraidhoo.

Kilometre Engineering Private Limited has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the expansion of the health centre in Lhohi, while Coastal Engineering Solutions Private Limited will spearhead the expansion of the health centre in Guraidhoo. 

Both contracts were officially signed by Abdul Hannan Hussain, the Senior Executive Director of the Ministry of Health.

The primary objective of these projects is to construct extension buildings and surrounding walls for the health centres on both islands. The expansion initiatives are expected to be completed within a timeframe of 120 days. A sum of USD162,100 has been allocated for the health centre expansion in Lhohi, while USD207,500 will be invested in the expansion of the health centre in Guraidhoo.
