The second phase of the vaccination campaign began today and will continue until 7 July. It targets people under the age of 30 who have not received their second dose of the MR vaccine.

HPA said the vaccine is available free of charge at all government hospitals, while ADK Hospital will also provide the vaccine at no cost.

In the Greater Malé Area, vaccinations are available at the Urban Primary Health Care Centre (UPHCC), Hulhumalé Hospital, Senehiya Military Hospital and Vilimalé Hospital. Health centres in the atolls and islands will announce their own vaccination schedules.

The agency urged anyone who has not completed the recommended vaccination schedule to visit the nearest health facility and receive the vaccine.

HPA also advised anyone experiencing fever or a red rash to seek medical attention immediately, wear a face mask, and remain in quarantine until test results are received. Individuals with symptoms have also been urged not to visit public places to help prevent further transmission.
