Janaan, who was identified as the rider of one of the motorcycles, did not stop after the crash. He has since been remanded in custody for seven days.

Police confirmed that all three drivers involved in the accident held valid A-category road vehicle licences.
This incident follows a recent case in Hulhumalé where another individual was arrested for failing to stop after an accident that resulted in injury to a pedestrian.
