IGMH Seeks Doctors and Nurses to Expand Medical Staff

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has recently announced its requirement for additional medical staff, as it seeks to recruit 22 doctors and 26 nurses.

According to the announcement made by IGMH, the hospital is specifically looking for medical officers who hold public service ranks 7 and 8. Rank 7 medical officers are required to possess a medical degree and have successfully completed an internship at a medical institute recognized by the Maldives Medical and Dental Council. On the other hand, rank 8 medical officers must fulfill the criteria for rank 7 and possess at least four years of professional experience.

Medical officers who qualify for rank 7 can expect to receive a basic salary of MVR 18,129 along with an allowance of MVR 10,382. They will also receive a daily attendance allowance of MVR 281. Rank 8 medical officers, meanwhile, will receive a basic salary of MVR 20004, along with an allowance of MVR 11456 and a daily attendance allowance of MVR 310.

IGMH is also actively seeking nurses to join its team, with vacancies available for those who hold public service ranks 5 and 7. Interested applicants for these nursing positions must meet the specific criteria set by the Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council, which corresponds to the respective ranks they are applying for.

Nurses who qualify for rank 5 can anticipate a basic salary of MVR 11,428, along with an allowance of MVR ​​5,333 and a daily attendance allowance of MVR 144. Rank 7 nurses, on the other hand, will receive a basic salary of MVR 13,057, along with an allowance of MVR 6094 and a daily attendance allowance of MVR 165.

In addition to doctors and nurses, IGMH is also actively seeking six medical laboratory technicians to bolster its workforce. The hospital intends to hire successful applicants for all positions on a permanent basis. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline on July 10th.
