The Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital has temporarily closed its Urban Primary Healthcare Centre for maintenance, just five months after the facility began operations.
In a statement issued on Monday, IGMH said the closure is to facilitate necessary maintenance work. The centre is scheduled to remain closed until 22 April.
During this period, services previously provided at the facility have been relocated to the hospital’s General Outpatient Department. Immunisation services will continue to be delivered through Dhamana Veshi.
The Urban Primary Healthcare Centre is equipped with a range of facilities, including a General Practice clinic, Child Health clinic, treatment room, minor procedure room, wellness clinic, counselling room, and an X-ray unit.
The centre, located within the Coral Boulevard complex developed during the administration of former president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, had been repurposed as a General Practice clinic and officially opened on 19 November last year.
