Indian Gov’t Unveils Fully Funded Scholarships for Maldivian Students

The Government of India, through its Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), has announced the availability of 34 fully funded scholarship opportunities for Maldivian students for the academic session 2024-2025.

These scholarships cover a wide range of academic disciplines, with 20 slots allocated for Undergraduate courses, including Engineering, as part of the Aid-to-Maldives Scholarship Scheme.

Additionally, 10 scholarships are offered under the Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme, while the remaining 4 slots fall under the Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme.

Aspiring students can pursue studies in various fields such as Arts, Science, Engineering, Business, Tourism, and more, at esteemed universities across India. Moreover, the Lata Mangeshkar Dance and Music Scholarship Scheme presents 100 scholarship slots globally, catering to individuals keen on exploring Indian culture through music, dance, theatre, performing arts, sculpture, Indian languages, cuisine, and related areas.

Furthermore, there are 29 scholarship slots available for South East Asian countries under the AYUSH Scholarship Scheme, enabling participation in Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD studies in Ayurveda and Homeopathy.

It’s important to note that the scholarships do not cover five-year integrated courses like medical, paramedical, or fashion studies. Eligibility criteria specify that applicants for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses must be between 18 and 30 years old, while PhD candidates must be under 45 years of age.
