Interpol Red Notice Issued for Maldivian Suspect in Child Sexual Abuse Case

The Maldives Police Service has issued an Interpol Red Notice to locate and arrest a suspect wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into the sexual abuse of a minor.
Police identified the suspect as Izyan Abdul Hameed, 38, of Raahi, F. Nilandhoo, and said he fled the country shortly after the case was first reported.
Authorities said his current whereabouts remain unknown, and efforts are ongoing to trace him through international cooperation mechanisms.
An Interpol Red Notice is a request to global law enforcement agencies to locate and provisionally arrest an individual pending extradition or legal proceedings.
The Maldives Police Service said investigations into the case are continuing in coordination with international partners.
