Ishana Waleed Receives “WIM Member of the Year Award”

Ms. Ishana Waleed, EXCO member of Women in Management Maldives received the “WIM Member of the Year Award” during The Top50 Professional and Career Women’s Global Awards 2023 hosted by Women in Management, The International Finance Corporation and Australian Aid at the Shangri La, Colombo.

During the event, three Maldivian women have won the Women in Management (WIM) Global Top 50 Award. Along with Gender Minister Aishath Mohamed Didi, Deputy Managing Director of Island Aviation, Aishath Jennifer and Aishath Shafeeq received the Global Top 50 Award.

WIM conducted the awards over the weekend, with a three-day forum that kicked off last Thursday. Maldives participated in two of the panels of the Women Economic Forum.

Women in Management is an international organization working for the empowerment of women. Their Maldivian chapter was launched in 2017, and since then they have held various activities for their cause.
