A media official from Maldivian confirmed in a WhatsApp media group that the Airbus A320 recently underwent maintenance and repair at Sepang Engineering in Malaysia. The maintenance addressed a minor technical issue and included a pre-scheduled engineering service.

In a statement, Maldivian indicated that the aircraft was expected to land in Malé at 13:06 on Sunday afternoon and would “waste no time taking to the skies” again. The A320 is scheduled to fly from Malé to Dhaka at 21:00 on Sunday evening.
