Once the register is compiled, health assistants will be selected from those who have registered for the pilgrimages. The categories of doctors sought for inclusion in the register include medical officers, general practitioners, and specialists in cardiology, nephrology, and neurology.

The responsibilities of the doctors and nurses accompanying the pilgrims will involve assessing the health conditions of the pilgrims and providing necessary treatment. Nurses are also expected to follow doctors’ instructions in caring for patients.

In addition, doctors will be responsible for ensuring that pilgrims receive medical attention in hospitals in Mecca and Medina when needed. They will also assist the Hajj Corporation with medical arrangements throughout the journey and any other relevant matters.

The Hajj Corporation has stated that preference will be given to those with fluency in Arabic or Urdu, as well as those with prior experience in Hajj and Umrah.
