Maldives Joins World Association of Chefs Societies Annual Meeting
The Maldives are participating in the annual gathering of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS).
The Maldivian delegation, led by Continental Judge Mariyam Shiuna and two others, will attend the WorldChefs Asia Presidents Annual Meeting 2024 in Mongolia, from May 19 to 24.
The event, bringing together presidents from various Asian nations, will see participation from Mongolia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
During the five-day meeting, each country will present its country report, with presentations delivered by their respective presidents. Discussions will encompass a range of topics, including highlights from the upcoming “Chefs Congress 2024,” scheduled to be held in Singapore.
Among the focal points will be discussions on the role of chefs in addressing global challenges, as well as opportunities for education and training.
The Chefs Guild of Maldives, established in 2016, is an active association dedicated to promoting and enhancing the skills of chefs working in the Maldives.
