Maldives Zakat House Distributes MVR 13.11 Million as Zakat al-Mal
The Maldives Zakat House has distributed MVR 13.11 million as Zakat al-Mal for this year, providing MVR 5,500 per eligible individual registered on its list of the poor and needy.
The payout covers 2,384 beneficiaries recorded on the Zakat House registry as of 1st Dhu al-Hijjah 1447.
The per-person distribution marks a 10 percent increase from last year, when beneficiaries received MVR 5,000 each. The Zakat House said this year’s rate represents the highest amount distributed per person under Zakat al-Mal to date.

The authority said it continues to administer Zakat collections in line with registered eligibility lists, ensuring distribution to approved recipients.
