Maldivian Aero has announced plans to increase its flights to accommodate the rising travel demand during the upcoming Eid-al-Adha holidays.

The airline revealed that it will add over 100 additional flights for domestic travellers from 13 June until the end of the Eid holidays. This expansion will see the number of daily flights rise to 50 during the holiday period, up from the current 30.

Maldivian Aero operates flights to 16 domestic destinations, with the Eid holidays being the busiest time of the year for the airline. To meet the heightened demand, the airline’s fleet, which includes Airbus A320s as well as Dash and ATR series aircraft, will be utilised more extensively.

In addition to increasing flight frequencies, Maldivian Aero is also exploring options to expand its fleet further, aiming to enhance service capacity for travellers.

This move follows a similar increase in flight frequencies during the Eid-al-Adha holiday season last year, demonstrating the airline’s commitment to meeting travel needs during peak periods.
